The Girls Day Out promotion has been running successfully since 2005. In the past a "passport" style shopper docket, the Girls Day Out primarily targets women and will attract local and regional shoppers to Forbes.

As part of the Girls Day Out, in 2018/2019, there will be various events presented in conjunction with the Forbes Shire Council.
